The Nordschleife at the Nurburgring is a 13-mile long lap with 170 corners and two banked turns. There are elevation changes and long straights. It is the ultimate test of a supercar, and the Pista performed really well on it. If you want to view the lap by Sport Auto, check out the video below.

In the video at the top of this page, Sport Auto 's test driver Christian Gebhardt takes the 488 Pista for a very competent lap around the Nurburgring with a time of exactly 7:00 minutes. That's hugely impressive considering the car was stock and was riding on Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R K1 tyres.

The entire track, the Gesamtstrecke (see map above) was 28.3 kilometres in length, composed of the Nordschleife (22.8 km), the Südschleife (7.7 km), and the Betonschleife - the latter a short 2 kilometer warm-up loop around the pit area.
